Mornin'.

Cat insists on standing without the bathroom and staring in.



Hair cleaning day. Also known as shower time.

A wild pennywhistle awakens!

We take pennywhistle on a sunrise/cow walk.









The orange blossoms are in full force. They have been my favorite flower since forever. <3



The ocotillos have also regained most of their foliage. It is definitely spring here.



Loud grackles are loud.



There were no cows, but ponies are a good alternative.






Everything is blooming!



Even the river is green.



I try to take a sneaky photo of them from behind and they get all sassy on me. :P



Cats are waiting impatiently for us.



Oh yeah, still need to feed them...



Time check! ...and start making breakfast.

Laundry. Because it's not DITL without laundry.



It is really nice out, but also really windy.



Make the bed. Pay no attention to the lump.



Nope, nothing under here.



We're trying to get Kona more used to her leash, so it's time to go outside for a little bit.



She walks out on her own now, which is a huge improvement. Of course, she won't come back inside on her own, but well.



Floor Lady tells me it's time to go to the Farmer's market.



But first she plays with Kona a little.

First stop: crepes.






Second stop: meats.



Home again.



We futz around for a few minutes.



But then it's time to head back out.






It's so windy!

Our garden! We pulled up our bok choy, broccoli, and a few kale to get the spring garden started two weeks ago. Hopefully the new stuff will start growing soon.



I pull up more kale to make room, but there's only so much kale one can eat a week. o.o



Last stop for groceries. Not pictured: me absolutely frazzled by the complete reorganization they've done inside.



Pick up pennywhistle and bring her home and force her to carry kale.



Have a snack of banana & nutella.



More chillaxin.



I try to edit, then I try to nap, neither of which go well.



When I return to the living, Lady's already dealt with all that kale. o.o



So I fold laundry.



Then I return to the kitchen. While Lady and pennywhistle go out to check chickens and other shenanigans, I stay home to get some stuff that my inner virgo desperately needs done.



Cook some stuff for my breakfast casserole.



Cut some purple sweet pot for the bottom layer.



Just need to bake it.



Chop some beets I pulled from our garden earlier.



Wipe down and tidy up the kitchen.



Finished casserole! If you take off the feta, it's even AIP compliant.



Next thing: the fridge. Ugh, it's such a mess.



I use up some old pineapple and green onion with some (see: a TON) of cilantro to make a sauce for the crockpot.



Spoiler alert: it's surprisingly tasty.



I get a text saying Lady and pennywhistle are heading back and they're tired, so I make espresso. I also finish wiping down and cleaning out the fridge.



Triumphant return! They even bring me whiskey.



Not bad.



Time check (with a clean kitchen).



I have some leftovers from the fridge.



We settle down to plan a little for June. Switzerland! France!



pennywhistle finds some pretty awesome tickets. I'm having more trouble.



Then we binge watch more of Sailor Moon Crystal.



We can finally dance to the opening credits together! We had been skyping to watch SM:C before, but it's just not the same as in person.



Retire. Try to edit again. Actually get some done this time.
