Mornin'. It's not really almost 7. Well, it is. But we're three time zones away from home.

My hair's not too crazy. It's either the humidity or I have to get it cut soon.

Boil some water for tea.

And make some coffee for the rest of the house while I'm at it.

Since no one else is awake yet, I settle in with some tea and internet.

Shower time!

Wake up Lady time!

Dad's awake, too.

Lady does stuff in the kitchen.

I finish making breakfast.

Then we join mum on the porch.

Time to clean up.

And head out!

We meet the rest of the family for breakfast. Since I already ate (still doing the autoimmune protocol), I just watch creepily. Then take lots of pictures. Because that's what you do.

Onwards, ever onwards, into the bright, humid morning. Look at those trees!

Look at them! So gorgeous. I might have succumbed to a weird Florida homesickness around this point.

From family breakfast, we head straight to the reception venue, which is this cute little house tucked into the trees.

Once inside, we take stock of the place. Plus, a sneaky time check!

Empty hall wot needs to be filled. Already, plans are changing from what we expected. IE, ceremony now inside vs out.

That's okay - we have flowers to arrange. We busy ourselves with that.

We were also tasked with making the bride's and bridesmaid's bouquets. Lady proves herself adept.

The semi-finished product. I forgot to take a picture when we put little sparkly things in and wrapped the stems with white ribbon.

Mum helped arrange, too.

Then dad returned with food and we had an improptu lunch. I stole someone's plain meat to nibble on when they weren't looking. No ribs for me. ;.;

We start setting up the food tables, then decide we'll wait for the bride to get there for more direction and vamoose to get ready.

Vamoosing in progress, with a grandma and uncle in tow.

Back to the cabin on base where we're staying.

Lunch for me. Reminder to future self: bring salt next time. And seasonings.

Time check while people shower and get ready.

We try to wrap my brother's present. I assumed we could just use the tea towels we'd made, but apparently the spice bottles needed more support than that. Still, we make it work.

Lady in her polka dot dress wearing the belt I was making last DITL. :)

Lady and mum, as we head into the venue.

I grab a photo of the groom in his spiffy whites. He already looks overwhelmed.

There's family everywhere and I'm a bit overwhelmed, so I retreat back until the ceremony begins.
Not pictured: ceremony. There was already a photographer up in their faces, I didn't want to contribute my own. It was more poignant than I expected, but still really short. Then suddenly my brother was married and I couldn't tease him for being a spinster anymore.

People descended on the food and I grabbed a photo of bride and groom. My new SIL seems pretty cool. This weekend was my first time meeting her. The problem with them living in FL and us in AZ. *shakes head*

I oogle the cake I can't eat. People seemed pretty pleased with it.

Bride and groom do their rounds.

We sit with mom and dad and there's general chatting.

I finally manage to grab a photo of my bro and me, but so many people pulled out their cameras at the same time that we're looking in different directions. Oh well. I'll see him again... some day.

There's no dancing and things calm down pretty fast. People start cleaning up, leaving one table for belongings and grandmas.

There is a LOT of extra food. Lady is pleased with her haul.

I help move chairs and tables back with these guys.

Then grandmum insists that bro' needs to open one specific gift while she's there.

Bride and groom are very pleased with their new plunger and toilet brush. This gift stems from everyone in the family being amused that they would put a plunger on their registry, so of course someone had to get them one.

Done cleaning up and we're back in the cabin, changing and getting ready to keep socializing.

Lady washes dishes - which seems to be a recurring theme.

Time check while I make dinner for myself. Still no salt.

Family downtime.

Out again, but this time just to the cabin next door.

Where we have some rum & coke and hang out with close family.

The newlyweds stop by for a short time as well, then we have to head back because some of us have a crazy AM flight.

We shove everything into the suitcase for said crazy AM flight.

Then go to bed. G'night!
