Thoughts on a Lunch Break

spryng- This has been the longest two weeks ever. The first few days were really terrible, the middle was fine, but then again these last few days have dragged and dragged. I have been both equally convinced that it worked and it didn't, and now armed with a new thermometer and little patience I... still don't know. I would have placed serious money on it not working a few days ago. Today? Not so much. And I'm not sure if it's wishful thinking or just internalizing all of the "symptoms mean nothing before two weeks!!" stuff online.
We'll see. We'll see. Is it Thursday yet?
If it didn't work, then we're going to "celebrate" with bubbly while we pack for FL tomorrow. If it did work, I'll have a hard time not being smug around family all weekend.
- I made some fancy tea towels for my brother's wedding. I also made a belt for Lady's dress and discovered that sewing machines have a button function. What. They will literally sew a button hole for you, the right size and everything. Then you just have to open it up with a sharp object and lo - button-tastic! It might have blown my mind a little.
- I'm on day 19 of CLPH - chin-ups, lunges, push-ups, and a handstand. You start with one of each and each successive day add an additional rep. I initially planned to only do this for 30 days, although most suggest going for 60, but we'll see. It's still pretty manageable and it helps that I'm actually getting better as it progresses. I started out with one sad chin-up, but now I can string three, almost four, together. I'm hoping it will help improve my pull-ups, too.
- Turned the a/c back on today, since it's going to hit 95 and I don't want the cats to fry. We'll see if it actually gets hot enough inside to turn on, but it's still a herald of summer. This was a really mild winter - I turned the heat on once and not even long enough to get that burning smell out of the vents. This does not bode well for summer.
- Wedding wedding wedding! We're also going to the Grand Canyon in three weeks! That's a mite more exciting, right?
- The next DITL is on the same day as the wedding. That'll make two DITL weddings this year already. Too bad there aren't anymore coming up. Or maybe good?

Date: 2014-04-10 02:32 am (UTC)Every journey's different, of course, but I knew nine days after I got pregnant- my breasts were sore in that hormonal way, so sore that it sort of hurt to sleep on my stomach.
