I feel like it says something about communication and our generation and how things have changed that the first thing I did once on the internet after getting wife'd was update my facebook profile. And that's it taken me two days to get to LJ. But really, it's just been a whole lot of two days.

And now I'm sitting on the floor of a B&B next to a faux fireplace that is emitting heat at me and I can finally breathe (and drink wine) and type.

The wedding - oh, the wedding. It was, once it happened, a lot of fun. A bit of crying. A lot of jumping up and down, riddled with energy. I got to see peeps I hadn't seen in much too long. And I got to dance. And I got to yell "WIFE!" Which is awesome and invigorating.

Before it happened - oh man. Well, in the end, every little thing and detail and worry came together and I can't think - even when trying to think - of anything that went wrong or I didn't like about it. The ceremony went well (okay, so mom droned on a bit). The vows went well. It was perfectly fine that we didn't have music. It was perfectly fine that we kept it very informal. We had 100% dancing turn-out - mostly due to guilting - and once people were out and dancing, they were pleasantly surprised to find they were having fun. The food was good. The wine was tasty (we have six half-finished bottles left over to finish in the next, uh, two days). There were surprise sheep. The cupcakes were all right. And I couldn't stop grinning for most of the night.

After all the nightmares and worrying and fretting and questions from family - it happened and it happened well. And I am so glad it did and so glad so many of my friends and family could come out and party with us and show their love and support. I am blessed to have such amazing friends and family. And even more blessed to have such an amazing wife.

Now I just have to wait (PATIENTLY OF COURSE) to see the professional photos. ;) Thankfully the internet and FB have made it easier to have instant gratification from audience photos.
