Thursday, September 6th, DITL

I awake at a normal (crazy) time and start the coffee as per usual.



Unlike usual, I head straight into the bathroom to lay on some thick anesthesia on a nasty cold sore. :< Not pictured: the multiple times I have to reapply this throughout the day.



And shower! Because it's a shaving day.

How I feel about getting dressed for morning walkies. That is, at an angle and slightly crazy?




Fill up the mugs.




Cats flock to Lady while she tries to shoe herself.



We both manage to comment on the watermelon in the basket at the same time. As in, why is it there?



The half moon is bright, but not bright enough to drown out the stars. I think I spot pleiades!



There's this mass of giant ants that have been moving their nest for a week now. Over a week. Actually, I'm not even sure they're moving their nest - they had been swarming, then moving their eggs out, then moving their eggs back in, but now they seem to be back into moving their eggs out? I have no idea.




:( This cholla fell over in the last bad storm. Every time we pass it I want to pick it up and cover its roots, but alas, I'm never wearing gloves and I like my hands much too much.




The sun isn't even risen by the time we get back. According to the official sunset/rise times, sunrise is now officially after 6am. :<




Starving by the time we get back - going off the Whole30 means I've been eating more sugar and more sugar means I get hungry quicker.




I roast the pears and then spoon them onto an omelet.




Lady puts together lunch boxes while I cook breakfast.








Scent for the day: gingerbread! Even though it's not quite the right season. >>




Cats demand sustenance.



I transfer an audiobook to my iShuffle and check my email real quick - three reserves in from the library! Yes!




I also shuffle another forty photos into an envelope to take with me to work and label. I thought it'd be a grand idea to print out a bunch of photos and hang them for people to see at our wedding, and thought it even grander that they each have some sort of explanation as to what they are on the back.




Ready for the day!




Feed the cats....




Pack my bag...




And go! Lady is driving me to work so I can get there super early and subsequently leave a bit early.







The road is much emptier before 7am...




As is the building.







First thing I do is make a copy of my name change order to send to HR.




Update calendar.




Eat breakfast. OMG pear omelet.








Get very bad news concerning all those highlighted files. Only to hear some three hours later that the bad news isn't so bad. Oh, office communication.




Most of my morning is spent in a class learning about legal descriptions. We are given homework. I do not do it at home.




Lunchtime! Purple cabbage slaw + pot roast pork.




Shortly followed by snack time. That's right. Mixing it up today.




My lunch break is only 30 min because I'm leaving at 3pm, so I walk to the library to drop off a book and then come right back.






...I have no idea...




I work on labeling photos for the rest of my lunch.




Boss comes around and gives us more "homework."



And abruptly, it's time to leave!



I wait outside for my ride as the storm to end all storms slowly rolls in.









There is a package for me in the car - it contains this gem and a teapot. I immediately start reading.




I <3 Sprinklebakes. She has been my baking inspiration for several years now.



It starts to pour as we head to the DMV.




There are entirely too many people at the DMV for this kind of weather, but the line moves fast and I get my new license with my new name in less than half an hour.



Time check, once out of the DMV.



We get home and Lady makes bacon while the pizza we picked up at ( not pictured ) Trader Joe's is baking.



How far we fall once off diet. Pizza and...




...beer, even though I know I'll have a nasty headache in the morning. :< Even from just one glass. Oh beer, so delicious, but so painful. This is why, when you usually see us drinking, it's wine.




Beer & pizza & lady fingers & Crash Course. Perfect for a rainy Thursday evening.



I have another package in the regular mail. It's super cute baggies!



Fed and beer-ed, we work on stamping the favor boxes.






It's slow-going, but worth the effort.



Lady takes her turn writing comments on the photos.



Then we prep our lunch tupperwares for Friday.



I harass Kona.




Then Doug swings by and hangs out with us for a bit while also harassing Kona. She has to decompress for a bit after taking the MCAT earlier in the day. We offer her rum.








Kona decides she's had enough harassment for one night, thankyouverymuch.



Doug leaves and I prepare myself for bed. And apparently lose an eye.



And pass out shortly after this shot.

Maybe you could suggest some features you think are needed for day publishing to be easy?
