spryng | (no subject)

Yesterday I took the car in to be looked at and have an oil change. They gave me a ride home, saying it'd be at least three or four hours. So I putzed around most of the morning, expecting a call, and when I didn't get one, I got out my nervous energy by making cupcakes. Specifically, blue velvet, which is what happens when we don't have any red food coloring. :)

Okay, enough of that. Now I'm kind of craving some, except we're already out because I only made nine and gave most of them away. :O

So anyway, no call back from the car people, gave them a call in the middle of making the cupcakes to be told they were still working on it, in the middle of it right then and they thought they knew what was making the noise but they'd call me in a bit when they knew for sure. No call that afternoon or evening or night (but we ate the cupcakes and I gave one to the neighbor), called them this morning to be told the crankshaft is kaputt and they needed to order a new one which wouldn't be in until next Tuesday. :( So no car until then. Bummer.

Also means more money to be spent and still no job. Gagagshgh. Supposedly I'll hear from Sears if I got the photography studio position today. I may or may not be crossing my fingers big time. But I'm also still applying everywhere else that looks remotely like I might be qualified, so, well. And writing. Speaking of which, I'm not doing that right now and I should be. I'm only at 35k. :<
