spryng | Lady Day

Lady's mom's birthday is coming up and I thought it'd be nice to do another photoshoot of Lady, since the last one had been end of November, nearly six months ago. That and I'm looking for any opportunity I can lay my hands on to build my portfolio at the moment. And to practice. And to learn. I'd originally been inspired by a very simple but brilliant post on another photog's blog about perspective and how sometimes you need to just get up and move. I knew this superficially, but somehow it hadn't clicked until I read that post.

So the photos from this one are a little bit different from my usual and a few of my faves are beneath the cut.

There are a few more on flickr, but a number of the better ones I've left off since her mother checks that page periodically and I don't want to ruin any surprise. :)

This weekend was also the bachelorette party for our friend Katie. Her wedding is in June and the weekend before last was the bridal shower. For the bachelorette party we met up with her and two of her friends for a three hour game of mini-golf, then went and fooded, then went and Melting Pot-ed. OMG chocolate in face. Which reminds me, I have some chocolates that Lady made a week ago that I need to photo. They are very cute and even have fancy filling. :) I'm much too lucky to have a Lady that even makes chocolates.
