December, December. It's time to dismember. L4D2 is downloading and tonight will be a night of zombie bashing, now that NaNo is done for the year.

The end of the year is coming up, along with all the looking back and looking forward that goes along with it. And it's also apparently the end of a decade - huh. Has it really been 10 years since that whole y2k buzz? I feel... old. Thankfully, I already had my life review back in August. So instead of fretting about the new year, I'm just going to see how my goals are going since I established them a few months ago, since it's probably better to check in on them every once in a while instead of forgetting and going "oh shi-!" once August is here again.

November messed up pretty much all of my goals except the one most important one, writing every day. My daily photography fell by the wayside and I'm still trying to pick the motivation back up for that one. I think I'm overthinking it too much instead of just picking up the camera and shooting. I have finished a complete revision, on the writing side, and I'm set to begin revising again after setting that sucker in the dark for a week or so. Or nomming on something that's been picking up dust for a while. Can't quite decide yet, but not worrying, 'cause it'll decide itself.

As far as my other goals - losing weight by December, spending less time on the computer - ah... well. Going to work on those. And I was doing so well with both until October.

mathematically, the decade didn't start til 2001 (there was no Year 0), so the decade's not over for another year. i don't know why, but the lack of awareness about this drives me nuts. spread the word!

The millennium didn't start until 2001, but as far as the decade is concerned... I guess it depends. The first decade of the new millennium doesn't end until 2011, but a decade itself - any random decade - only needs to be ten years. Since the decade prior to this one was counted from 1990 to 1999, then the next should be 2000-2009. If we just went from 2001-2011, then 2000 would be unloved, although I guess it could get subsumed by that first decade or whenever it was we switched to 0-9 count.
But I also get horribly ticked when people spell millennium with one 'n', even though linguistically it makes no difference.

i guess end of decade / year / whatever lists just tick me off in general.

Grats on your nano!

I played a bit of L4D2 for the xbox 360 last night and this morning. I played Nick, cause Alonso took Rochelle, though I'm in love with Ellis. He keeps saving me. ;p
Witches are dumb bitches. Aaaaand. Cousin's day at the Love Tunnel in the carnival. Rofl.
