spryng | Of untimely weather

Our flight out of Springfield to Chicago tomorrow was canceled due to "weather" and originally my flight out of Chicago to Seattle was canceled as well and they had me on a Monday flight. I called the airline again to see if they could get a flight out of St. Louis, but apparently the Seattle flight had been reinstated. I kept visiting the airline website to see if I could check in, and eventually was able to for the Seattle flight. Soo.. since I can't otherwise get to Chicago for my flight, I'm going with the brother on Amtrak at 7am. Fun times. At least I should still be getting home tomorrow. I was a tad upset when it first looked like I might not make it. I miss my Lady. ;.;
It's been good here, though. Absolutely delicious weather. I raved about it to Lady on the phone for nearly an hour so it must be good. High 50s, clear skies, sunny - I must've laid in the sun for at least an hour. I didn't think I'd miss that as much as I did. Beyond the weather, it's been good seeing people - seeing grandma, seeing grandpa, seeing brother, seeing mom. Grandpa's looking a lot better than any of us really expected. He's talking, walking, doing things himself - it's good, but it gives a false hope. That thing is still in his brain and it isn't going away.
More tomorrow, perhaps, while I wait three hours for the plane. x.x
