I won the thesis game! And I didn't have to even reload once to kill the final boss! In fact, I was mildly disappointed at how easy the final boss was. Especially after the writing boss which would suck out your soul if you took too long to kill it. Had to reload a lot for that one.

I was doing good until right before we were to begin and then my hands were shaking like mad throughout the presentation, but I had a CARDBOARD TUBE of Gothic knowledge. I got to hit the map with it. I had a map. ^-^ And pictures of the manuscripts. I stumbled a few times during the pres, but I don't think I ever just stood there and went "um." Then I handed my CARDBOARD TUBE of Gothic knowledge over to Rohrbacher and they quizzed me. Shaw tried to be all hard-ass. It was cute. And Cuomo had brought his own maps. The questions they asked I could actually answer, except for a random question about how deconstructing identity tied in with modern events, and I just went "buh?" Do not compute! It was fine, though, they still passed me, and afterwards everyone got to tell me their interpretation of the question.
A few amusing points:
- after everyone had been sent out they first asked me how it felt to be the one responsible for the destruction of the foreign languages major. xp
- Dan'o in her Goth get-up.
- Dan'o serving as the subculture example when the conversation devolved into Goth jokes.
- some really weird interpretations of Arianism - something about how the Goths were a patriarchal society and therefore preferred the subordination of the Son to the Father...?
- them asking me to read the Gothic out loud. xp


It was really great. Now, of course, I run through it all in my head and find all the parts I could've done better, but usually those're just due to the sheer amount of nerves.
The afternoon was spent watching Austin Powers, which I had never seen, taking a nap, taking the bird to the vet, and then going to the Panic! at the disco concert, where I saw my tutoree's mother. xp Weird!

...today I actually have to start doing homework again. >> It's fine.
