My weekends fly by only to come crashing to a halt come Monday morning. Work is slow, slow, slow, and I would use the idea of a sloth to describe it, but that would be an insult to the sloth. So I've been desperately casting about for things to preoccupy myself, because for some reason the words are just not coming when I try to write. It's not writer's block. It's more like... an all encompassing blob of dis-motivation which envelopes me as soon as I step foot in the office. There's so very little to do that I can't get started doing anything. It's frustrating.

So I'm trying to tackle it from the other direction - throwing things and projects in my path so that I can finally get over this hump of BLAH and stagnation and get a shit ton of stuff done. Because so far, the summer of Getting Shit Done has been a summer of Painting and Exercising and Fooding instead. Not that that's a bad thing, but the Shit I was supposed to be Getting Done is not Getting Done. So if you have any suggestions for small projects I can do while at work and fill my day with in order to Get Shit Done, I would love you.

So since my days are so dull, I've noticed my evenings and weekends filling up, brim-like. This past weekend was chores and walks and rock climbing and D&D and eying climbing gear and hanging out with friends and cleaning and cooking cooking cooking. Actually, last evening was a whole smorgasbord of cooking: we made the above heirloom tomato crostata, a loaf of banana bread, salsa, and a lentil and rice pilaf, all with a bottle of wine. Mmm. Won't need to make food for a few days, which is good, since tonight we're going rock climbing again and tomorrow we will likely pass out and Wednesday is secret day and Thursday will probably be more rock climbing.

And yes, I imagine I will be sore at the end of the week.
