spryngWe took the kids to see manatees yesterday.
Homosassa Springs, which I'd never been to before, but has a cool little floating platform you can walk around the top of, then go beneath, so you can see the manatees from above and below. They also had a boardwalk that snaked around the springs, letting you see manatees every which where, and then a whole 'nother side with rehabilitated animals. All in all, the place itself was 10/10.
Hearing that little squeak of excitement from Cabin Girl when she saw the manatees for the first time: 11/10
Baby Doore running and laughing while I pushed the stroller at him: 11/10
CG throwing a fit because she suddenly decided she was done: 2/10
Baby Doore being overtired and unwilling to walk or go in the stroller but only be held by grandma, who has balance problems and can't walk while carrying him: 1/10
CG seeing flamingos for the first time: 10/10
CG gasping at how big the snakes in the reptile exhibit were: 10/10
Baby Doore getting excited about any and all birds: 10/10
Baby Doore refusing to eat anything and being hangry: 2/20
CG having an attitude problem: -1/10
But you know, that's just how it goes with kids. Overall, would do again.
