It's been a while, but I'm still alive! I'm going to try to aim for at least one DITL a month for the rest of this year, because I love the photos I get out of it (example above).
Changes since last DITL: ...not much? I'm working on Book Three, Lady Jr is now 10 months old, the weather is gorgeous here, and I'm turning 31 at the end of the month. o.o Maybe I'll do a special DITL just for that. We'll see.

Hello coffee my old friend.

Morning light.

Time check and sleeping baby. But for how long? I try to write while she's still asleep.

I also get a little distracted by some cats.

Or really, the same cat.

Aaand there're the wiggles we were looking for.

Mornin'

Baby jail.

She's taken to screaming every time we do a diaper change, so we've taken to trying various ways to keep her distracted (= happy). Egg cartons are generally a hit.

Diapered and clothed! I got her a little toy piano a week before and it is her A++ favorite toy.

I tried to take a picture on her level, but she decided she wanted my camera.

Breakfast time! A little bit of piano distraction while we actually prepare breakfast. Someone won't develop patience for like, three more years.

Breakfast is an egg muffin (egg + spinach + chives + goat cheese), sweet potato, and gummies.

Cats take over the bedroom.

I start making breakfast. Old peaches + eggs + coconut milk + pecans = tasty egg bake.

Baby's done.

Washing our hands.

Sunrise over the neighbor's roof. I miss AZ sunrises.

Baby plays with the boogie wipes container while we get her changed. Not pictured: putting her down for her nap. She was really really tired this morning despite sleeping pretty well the night before.

Gratuitous cat photo.

Finished egg bake. With a little powdered sugar, it's delish.

Lady and I are both surprised at how quickly Lady Jr conks out.

We take advantage of the nap to write to-do lists and grocery lists.

Baby's still asleep so I finally go through my summer clothes and see what fits at 10 months postpartum.

I also try to fix the leaking shower.

And then take a shower I guess.

Baby is STILL asleep, so I listen to an audiobook and clean out the fridge.

Before.

Oh, now she's awake. Lady goes to get her because I am on a MISSION.

Aaaand clean.

We need to get groceries, so I pack the diaper bag.

Lady Jr has some lunch.

Not pictured: grocery shopping. Because sometimes, handling a camera and a cart and a baby and grabbing groceries is just too much.

Put away the haul.

Time for another nap. Also: time check.

Pictured: Lunch.
Not pictured: Napping while baby naps.

When Lady Jr wakes up, we go pull weeds outside. She... helps. :)

She gets fussy after not too long, so we go inside and read books. Well, I read books and she grabs my face.

Lady takes the baby and I chop melon.

Lady folds clothes.

Lady Jr has... dinner? Sure!

More play, more floor. This time we try to chase cats.
Not pictured: bath time, because someone was over tired and just cried the whole time.

Lady Jr fell asleep while nursing, so I carried her into the nursery.

With the baby safely in bed, we assemble our dinners.

I have some goat cheese, plantain crackers, and jam.

Clean up the play area.

Queue up the movie we'd been watching the night before.

After the movie, we drink some wine and Lady does some science while I write.

G'night!
