(Belated) Monday, August 8 2016 DITL

spryngEven though it's too late to share on the actual DITL community, I took the pics, so I'mma gonna post it here. The DITL before last actually fell on our closing day, I just didn't have a computer to process the photos until the following weekend.
Scene: Sometime around 2am. Bathroom. This cat has been locked in here for the night because she doesn't understand that walking on top of sleeping people is a no-no.
I finally give up on sleep and get ready for the day.
The other cat models good hotel behavior, aka not walking across people or meowing in their face.
I could have a series of photos that are just all the showers I've taken in all the different places over the last 4-5 years.
I'm starving so I go get breakfast as soon as the bar opens.
These waffles taste like corn syrupy sadness but whatever.
Gotta write my weekly preg update post.
A wild Lady appears.
Aaand we head back to the breakfast bar. :P
I def do not have second breakfast, nope.
Brush teeth and
Feed cats and
Go.
The hotel coffee tastes like sock water, so we stop for real coffee.
Bigby's is apparently Ze Place for coffee in Michigan. I have seen 1 Starbucks.
Stop by Target for cat supplies, because we know who will murder us in the night.
Have some extra time, so we make the mistake of wandering the aisles.
THEN IT'S TIME. We gather at the previously agreed upon place and sign a bunch of papers and come out, in the end, victorious (if substantially further in debt).
KEYS. Proof that all that emailing back and forth and worrying and money sending and paper signing meant, well, something.
And we head straight to the house.
Lady finds MORE KEYS. (Spoiler: We end up changing the locks and throwing them away.)
Unpack the car.
Check the front of the house.
Check the garage.
Take a progress photo in the new bedroom.
Head back out.
To the hotel, where we check on the cats.
Lady makes some phone calls to get utilities and trash set up.
And then it's time to crate the kitties for one last journey. They are less than pleased.
Yowling. So much yowling.
Arrive back at house and first things first, kitty litter.
Cats are 900% displeased.
It's slightly better outside of the crate, but Kona will only grudgingly take one treat.
My parents arrive and we leave the cats shut in their room because otherwise they will bolt through the first door they see.
Parents brought us some Things, which we unload and place around the less-empty-now house. Lady assembles the table they brought us, which used to be my grandmother's.
Kona is let out for a little bit and finds the sink.
We try feeding the cats. Kona eats, but Darjeeling just hides.
Back out we go!
We have dinner at this local Mediterranean place which is the BEST.
Then it's back to the hotel for us where we can spend one last night on a real bed, without any cats yowling. Spoiler: it's bliss.
