Picked up a fever from I-have-no-idea-where. No, that's a lie. Probably from the UofAZ library and all those unwashed masses of students. My sis-in-law was sick with a fever and cough when we saw her, but that was over two weeks ago. And I just googled "how long does a virus incubate" so unless she had dengue...

It's not dengue. I think. *furiously googles* No - no, it's not. Dengue is characterized by severe muscle and joint pain, and I'm sore, but that's just related to the fever.

I had chills Monday night, to the point where I had to huddle around a heating pad to keep warm. Then I woke up with a mild fever with a buttload of fatigue which turned into a very real fever by midday. I napped that morning before my temp went over 100 and had my first lucid dream, ever - which clued me in that something was very much off.

The afternoon was a haze of trying to sleep and mostly feeling too hot or too cold and today has been pretty much the same. I'm temping every few hours because I can't seem to gauge how high my fever is AT ALL. I was feeling fine yesterday so I temped to see if it had gone done and nope, it had gone up by a degree.

On the one hand, it's making the wait worse because it's really hard to stay busy and help the day go by when I am stuck at home and can do little more than move from couch to bed to couch again. On the other hand, I'm not thinking about anything except when this will be over and when can I go back to sleep. So.

All I can do is wait and be patient until I get better. In the meantime, I have green tea with electrolytes, chicken soup, and access to Netflix.
