Good morning. This post-it has been up on our mirror for weeks now and it's just so appropriate.

Yes, still temping.

Start the coffee.

Blend some coconut oil with my coffee, because apparently that's just my thing now.

Then I get ready for my run. I love love love the Zombies, Run! app. It has gotten me out the door and running so much more than I would have on my own. This is just me changing the mission length to double the songs, because today is a long run.

Put my running shoes on. This cat thinks she's going to get to go outside, but she's about to be sorely disappointed.

Requisite post-run selfie. Yeah sweat!

My run. 44min! God, I remember when I could barely do 10min. I'm working up to 5 miles so I can do a terrible mostly-uphill 7 mile run this summer. So each Sunday I've been going a little further.

Chop and add veggies to the chicken broth.

Write out my happy thing from the day before.

A live Dr. Lady appears! Since I last DITL'ed, she successfully completed and defended her graduate dissertation, so she will officially receive a phd when she graduates this weekend. I'm so proud of her. :)

I have first breakfast and first metformin and journal. That's the other new thing since last DITL - I've been diagnosed with PCOS and am taking met to better my chances of a) ovulating and b) getting pregnant.

Lady migrates to the couch and wakes up a little more.

I wash off the sweat.

And then head out again!

To the gym!

Although we're back at Crossfit, they don't focus as much on strength as I'd like, so I'm trying to balance both Crossfit and basic strength training. This week: deadlifts.

Stop by the farmer's market on the way home and pick up our meat CSA.

Home again.

Remember it's mother's day. We're actually going to celebrate next weekend, when she's in town for graduation, hence the lack of anything much this week.

Time for second breakfast. :)

Eat and internet. Go hand in hand.

Still hungry. o.o Third breakfast?

We head out again.

This time for work and coffee.

And to stop by the lab so Dr Lady can pick plaques. She might have finished her dissertation, but apparently she has a a bunch of other sciences to do.

I sit in her chair.

And check on her plants.

Home again and time check.

I eat a little sugar-free cheesecake for lunch.

Not because I'm hungry, mostly so I can take my second met of the day.

I feel pretty tired and light-headed, so I go lay down and read for a bit.

When I get up, Dr Lady has strained the broth and started cooking.

I jump in as best as I can.

But even browning meat makes me nauseated, so I alternate lying on the floor and helping.

Things that don't have a strong smell - like zucchini - are okay though.

Kona helps too.

Ham and cheese bake, ready to go in the oven!

While it bakes, Dr Lady shows me some of the post-doc positions she's found. One of them is - literally - Microbes in Space.

Done!

Time check and on our way again.

This time: chickens.

Oh, our ladies.

The cucumbers we're trying to get to vine around the coop are finally growing. Last year they all died, but I think this year it'll work.

Still so eggciting.

Home again. Late afternoon cat.

Do some more work.

Migrate to the couch. More work. Dr Lady has some revisions for her dissertation and I have some edits for my WIP.

For a break, Dr Lady takes Kona for a walk.

Less of a walk, more of a flop.

Dr Lady finishes packing a Mystery Box.

We go for a lovely walk to mail the box.

I looove this self-service kiosk. It means mailing boxes at all hours of the weekend/night/morning.

Catch the sunset on the way back, just miss the bats.

Once home, Dr Lady helps me make some low carb tortillas.

I put together a beef roast crockpot recipe.

These are so good. Seriously. Coconut flour + butter + 2 cups broth = somehow amazing. They're low carb, gluten-free, and paleo: check it.

Climb into bed. So tired. Try to read.

Give up. Good night!
