This week we have a several new things going on for DITL: our friend

Mornin'.

I try to take a pic of Kona leaping from the table to attack her sister, but my phone preferred something blurry and pixelated.

Time check! & coffee!

Blend that coffee with some delicious butter.

A wild

Drink my coffee and do my happy days journal.

A wild Lady appears! She has a new phone too.

I set up the baking soda to wash my hair. I have to boil some water, pour it over the baking soda, and let it cool because we have very hard water here and otherwise the baking soda will just combine with the calcium and minerals and it's no good.

Feed the

Time & weather check.

I snuggle a cat because she's there.

Shower time!

Come out and Lady's petting another cat.

Everybody's suddenly dressed.

I try to write a little bit, but my computer is going super slow again. :(( I mention this to Lady and she says "oh, it's because you have AVG antivirus" and then she fixes everything with Panda (antivirus). Sometimes she's magical.

I decide to get dressed too. Socks!

Make a list of things to bring and things to get at TJ's.

We're ready to go but somebody else wants to come with us.

Cones are still outside our apartment. :/ Idk if they're ever going to fill in that gaping hole.

First stop.

On our way again.

Second stop.

We invade our friends' kitchen!

& we get put to work prepping breakfast.

Wine officially makes it brunch.

Reading Humans of New York, which I think I'm going to have to steal from my friend.

Creepy owl is creepily watching you. Creep.

FOOD

They're having javelina chorizo & cheesy eggs. I'm having greens & salmon, since the chorizo and eggs are firmly on my nope-too-fucking-sensitive list.

Our (poorly exposed) hosts.

Can't stay long. Our hosts have climbing to do & Lady has Science.

Lady drops us off at the farmer's market so I can show

The farmer's market looks emptier & emptier these days since the Great Schism of 2014 (TM).

But we acquire our meats and head home.

First thing I do when we get home is refill the hummingbird feeder.

Second thing: appreciate cats.

Lady returns from her Science and we eat cookies together.

...while

Lettuce washing commences.

And we make sammiches for our next journey.

Kona tries to leave with us. Again.

On our way.

We stop at chickens first.

Hours of entertainment.

Four! Four eggs! Ah-ha-hah.

Stop & get gas after chickens. Take a picture of the price for posterity. I doubt we'll see this in another few months.

Those mountains. We are entering them.

We stop at Windy Point, which is about 1/3rd of the way up.

We hike around a bit and enjoy the view.

Then we stumble upon a certain group of friends who are out climing. Total. Coincidence. *wink*

Scramble back up the steep incline to get back to the car.

But take another moment to examine the view.

Home again!

Time check.

Somebody else has a lie down. (Hint: it's me).

We head out AGAIN. But this is for the sunset so it's well worth it.

Evening Catalinas photo.

I use my new schmancy fants phone to confirm that yes, that glowy dot is indeed Venus.

Get a text on the way home. Respond appropriately.

Order the pizza and make granola real quick.

People arrive. Pizza arrives. People eat pizza. People inherit the earth.

We may or may not put a cape on Kona. She may or may not be adorable.

People vamoose because they are tired & we are tired & cats get fed.

We go to bed but then do that terrible thing where we check blogs in bed. :( I'm trying really hard not to make that a habit, though.

(Late) bedtime. G'night!
