Absolutely forgot about DITL until I had already been up a few minutes and turned on the coffee, but it hasn't been that long and you didn't miss much.

Morning fuel.

Internet time.

Then realize I woke up so late that it's already time to feed the

Om nom nom.

Back to the internet. I refresh this page a couple more times. This is the start to a very disappointing day in this particular instance. :( Where's our package??

Then I realize my brother is online, so I spend the next x minutes coordinating with him to buy tickets out on Monday. If you don't read my LJ, our grandma died on Friday and the funeral is Tuesday, so hoorah for last minute tickets.

I take a break from calling dad & texting my brother and buying tickets (which takes entirely too long) to take a shower. But before that, I check my ferning. Supposedly, this little thing should show ferns when you're close to ovulating, but so far no dice.

I harass Lady real quick because the sun is up and she is not.

Dressed! Fave new shirt. It says "in pursuit of ecstatic wonder" which is part of my college's mission statement.

Breakfast is a weird assortment of leftovers.

A wild Lady appears!

We internet and eat breakfast.

Then Lady shows me her sister's recent ultrasounds. We're going to have another niece!

Try to get a photo of the cute flower Lady put in her hair.

Kona wants to head out with us.

It's been a while!

The trees are laden with chirpy yellow birds. The harvest will be good this year.

Clouds?!

Our destination is our local coffee shop, where we do some work for a bit.

I finally hit 100k & celebrate with a screencap. Only 20k(??) more to go!

A wild beastie appears!

And her mother. :)

We chat & then hit up the local Lush for some scenty goodness.

Gratuitous baby photos are just as good as gratuitous cat photos.

When we get home, they watch some ridiculous science music videos I don't even.

Time check! (& sneaky selfie?)

Not the best lunch, but whatever.

Then we spend an inordinate amount of time on hold with USPS trying to figure out where our package is. The end result: they don't know, call back on Monday. :<

Sleepy cat expresses my feelings exactly.

Head out. Try not to plunge into the abyss right outside our door.

On the road. Have a chat about how sometimes those three months of living on the face of the sun can be worth it.

Tea time. Not pictured: all the frustration of trying to find a sim card without actually finding one, then a well-deserved nap.

Today's selfie for

Time check as we head out again.

This time for CHICKENS.

LOOKIT THOSE FLUFFY BUTTS

LOOKIT THEM

The sun decides to go to bed on our way home and I have another <3 Tucson moment.

Go for a quick walk when we get home.

Then we partake in the purchases we made on the way home. >> This is apparently not my healthiest day. It's fine.

Watch Trollhunter and eat burgers.

Then I do my daily French work. I took over a month off and have a lot of review to do.

Cats let us know that it's time.

I write a little more to hit my word count goal.

Then read a little.

& go to bed. Good night!

Date: 2015-01-12 01:28 am (UTC)Sorry to hear about your grandmother. I think american is one of the few airlines that still does bereavement fares though. Maybe that could save you a couple hundred bucks.
