Temp first thing after waking for ongoing Reasons.

Hullo sleepy squinty eyes.

Time check and water boiling.

Pour that water over some tea and (in a separate mug) baking soda.

Take a shower and wash hair after the tea has steeped.

Fun with pixie cuts!

Kona comes to express her disapproval at my not feeding her.

Put my hair in its proper place and also don a shirt.

Start a load of clothes while I'm at it.

Lady's up! ...but she's not very happy about it.

Kona finally gets fed.

And Darj' too, but she insists on eating in the living room.

Get ready to go lift with some BCAA's, since neither of us have the patience for breakfast just yet.

Calculate our weights for today.

Time check on our way out.

It's the last day of the month, so we also drop off our rent check.

Aand get gas.

Deadlifting! Not pictured: benching. Since we always try to spot each other, so no hands available for photos.

Lady's doing sumo deadlifts this cycle, which is a super wide-stance deadlift.

Home again. Have an odd breakfast because I don't feel like making greens. Meatballs, sour cream, and coconut fudge.

Update HabitRPG because I am still addicted.

Once fooded, we head back out.

Hello, Rincon mountains.

Our destination.

Our haul...

...haul, most of which will go to our chickens.

Speaking of which! We swing by the coop on the way home to deliver some treats and ice up their water before it gets too hot.

Cut up an acorn squash.

Lady hangs a frozen jug in their coop in the vain attempt to cool it down.

We've also put up a makeshift tarp over the egg door to help get the sun off it.

Chickens appreciate the melon sacrifices.

After, we stop for some coffee and writing and air conditioning.

Back to the car already. It's the time of year where one circles the block and parks wherever there is shade, so we're not right next to the coffee place.

We swing over and assault

Cats are also assaulted.

Meanwhile, I take some fancy photos of some Hello Kitty things she wants to sell.

It's an army!

We don't stay too long because she has to work, but we assault her cat one last time on the way out.

Home again! ...finally. Lady peruses our haul from MOM.

I internet and check the weather. This is why we were doing ALL THE THINGS this morning - because now it's waaay to hot to be outside.
Not pictured: siesta.

I take an OPK test when I wake up.

Kona helps with another load of laundry.

Wash and chop some lettuce.

Open a can of salmon and continue reinforcing our cats' can-related conditioning with salmon treats.

Mix the rest of the salmon with mama ghanouj for lunch.

Make a grocery list.

Vacuum. It's way too hot in here for shirts, sorry.

Fold the laundry.

Re-fill the hummingbird feeder.

Make the bed.

Aaand we're on our way. For the last time. Hopefully.

First stop: chickens.

We've also been tasked with taking care of the owner's house while she was out of town, so Lady waters the plants.

Give the chickens more treats. They're quickly becoming spoiled, but their eggs are so orange right now from all this extra produce.

Poor hot chickens. Besides, it's better for them to eat more produce than grain-based feed since it will keep them cooler.

Finish up inside the house.

Feed her cats. They don't trust me for some reason.

Stop by lab after. Lady does Science.

Stop by REI for a bike lock and new tire tube for Lady's bike.

We also grab groceries. I might have been getting too hot and lazy by this point.

I have some chicken broth.

And try out my new bike lock. I'll feel much safer with that thing instead of a cable when I take my bike to work.

Then we settle onto the couch with cats...

...and pizza and watch Into the Woods.

Feed the sharks.

Do a few more pages of edits.

Aand go to bed. Good night!
