Our spring garden has been planted. It's all (mostly) up to the weather gods now. We tried to do a better job of organizing our plot this time around, so we gave the watermelon loooots of room and bunched the carrots in with the tomatoes. We're also trying our hand at trellising - I have a notion already that we'll need to better support that trellis than it is now.

Lady started feeling awful this afternoon and now she's in bed with a fever. Fevers make me super paranoid, so I'm twiddling my thumbs and checking on her every hour and generally being nervous. I know it's just the body's defense mechanism to burn out the invading pathogen, but I still have this nightmare that it'll spiral out of control before I realize what's happening. Calm down, Kai. It's going to be fine.

But if you have any tips for taking care of someone with a fever, please share.

I'm going to distract myself with spring cleaning and babies in the meantime. Actually, I think my baby fever is pretty high. I calculated out my current cycle trajectory and realized that this whole TTC thing is going to start happening soon. As in, within two weeks. Aah! That's very very soon. Suddenly I have to get all my ducks in a row, which mostly consists of making sure the donor signs over his soul beforehand.

Otherwise... actually, we're pretty set. That's the upside for setting this date six months in advance. We've done our thinking and our planning and our freaking out. The only thing I'm really worried about at this point are the actual logistics of TTC. But I'm hoping I can handle that when we get to it. I usually can.

Okay. Okay. I've been talking about this long enough. If I've learned nothing else about myself over the past few years, it's that I talk a lot about things before doing them. And then I usually shut up. So here's hoping I don't TMI ya'll in the coming months. :P

Fever is good--even tho it can be scary. When our son was sick we'd do a Tylenol then Advil sequence. It helped a lot. Before the Advil have her eat a little so her tummy isn't completely empty.
