This is a week late because I accidentally posted it to the DITL community before posting it here - and for some reason I can't edit (or copy) a post until it's been approved. So here you go. This was my busy busy busy Saturday last week.

Mornin'.

After a night of dreaming about losing my camera, breaking my lens, and other photography-related calamities, I give up on trying to sleep in and boil some water for tea.

Say mornin' to the tomato sprouts and give them a little water.

Bring them into my office and turn on some music for them.

Also, my office! I don't think I've done a DITL with my new set-up yet. I cobbled together a standing desk from Ikea furniture and it's awesome.

Time to wake up Lady. Also time to start her coffee.

Mornin'.

After kicking Lady out of bed, I start the laundry process.

Lady helps!

Make some breakfast. Meatloaf (ick) and greens. Also mustard! I get mustard today!!

Drink some broth and eat brekkers while journaling. I've found it helps me collect my thoughts and focus my intentions for the day.

Lady journals too.

Then we puts our shoes on for a walk.

It's chilly, but not that chilly.

I love the way the sunrise touches the very top of the mountain first. It's so epic.

Time check and more food!

I make another cup of tea. I'm going to need it today.

Make the bed. And maybe lie down for a little bit.

Update HabitRPG, which is the best thing since sliced bread. I finally level high enough to choose a class! Woo!

Make a grocery list because even though it's Saturday, we know we won't have time for groceries on Sunday. It's a buuusy weekend.

Groceries acquired!

...and some much needed necessities.

Shower.

Lady greets me with a dryer-warmed robe. :3

This cat is begging for a caption.

I have some more food, because I know finding AIP-friendly foods at the wedding may be difficult. MOAR MUSTARD.

All my gear! I didn't end up using the flash, the extra batteries, or the tape, but I did end up using all my lenses.

All gussied up and ready to go.

The venue.

The bride getting her make-up done by

Brideladies getting ready.

And taking their own photos. :)

Bride getting ready.

I take a few (dozen) family photos, then people start entering the church.

The lighting is both gorgeous and challenging. Blue window light, meet yellow overhead light.

It starts!

And too soon, the wedding is over.

Things still need to be made official, though.

I take more family photos, then some fun photos of the bride and groom, then follow them (reverse follow them?) to the reception.

Where there are treats!

And cake!

We head out after the first dances because I wasn't feeling too well and we wanted to see if we could still do something for my friend Doug's birthday. Time check!

Hit up the ladies on the way home. As soon as they hear us approaching, they cluster like that. It's kind of adorable.

Hullo chickens!

Good haul. We've been getting more than enough to sell lately. Probably helps that I'm (currently) not eating eggs.

Even though I did find something to eat earlier, I still have a snack when I get home.

Check my internet - looks like my parents have already bought tickets out to my brother's wedding in April. He only announced the date to us that morning. Talk about short notice!

Lady conks on the couch while we try to figure out birthday shenanigans.

A wild Lora appears! She's only by briefly to drop off some stuff and hold a cat.

Doug calls and we decide to make birthday cupcakes at our place. I get out the ingredients. Not bothering to make gluten free since I can't have chocolate or dairy anyway.

But I can have wine. So I have some.

I also do some edits.

Doug arrives! We don our aprons and begin.

Her beau (tries to) helps.

Cupcake action!

More action!

We have the beau clean the bowls.

Then icing happens. Not pictured: making of the ganache.

We stick woodland creatures in the cupcakes for good measure. I am told the cupcakes were delicious.

After all that, I'm pretty much exhausted and pass out shortly after Doug takes her leave of us. G'night!
