Mornin'.

That'll do.

That will most definitely do.

Cats languish from the heat and lack of food. Hard to be.

There you go.

I venture out to the porch before it gets too hot to contemplate. It's actually relatively nice; about body temp.

I work on my to-do list and try to figure out what I want out of life.

Breakfast - omelette with blueberries, yogurt, and honey. Delish.

I also feed Lora, who has stayed over after we filled her with alcohol the night before. It's only fair. ;)

Lady approves of breakfast.

Kona is Kona.

We continue to have a nice, slow, super lazy morning, complete with a second pot of coffee. Checking the internet is super serious business.

Lora rolls out her shoulder. Always a good idea.

Lady researches community garden plots, a thing we want to do and start. There are a ton of tiny plots around Tucson where you can rent out space and grow a garden for the cost of water. It's actually pretty awesome.

Lora demonstrates the correct use of avocados.

Then we all decide we've farted around for long enough. Lora heads off on her day and we ours.

Time-check: super late start for us. :)

First stop: the nearest community plot. There's lots of space available and it's within biking distance, plus along our daily commute. I think we've already found a winner!

Second stop: Native Seeds. It's a pretty cool initiative that seeks to keep a local seed bank and also make those seeds available to locals, since obviously seeds from the area will do much better - being desert adapted - then anything one could get at Target etc.

We look at all the diverse seeds, then select a monsoon packet, which has a bunch of seeds to be planted during summer monsoon season, aka now. Squash, melon, okra... I'm excited!

Third stop: Our box to find out what the workout was Thursday as well as our homework. We might have skipped Thursday night because we were both super sore and tired, but we need to stay on track otherwise this is all for naught.

Fifth stop: Frozen yogurt for lunch. Because it's really freaking hot.

Fourth stop (not pictured): a framing store to get the above frame. It's very difficult to find 8x12 frames apparently.

But I finally did, and now the photo of all our friends who made it to our wedding can finally be displayed. I love this photo SO MUCH.

Set the alarm for naptime, because we have a 2pm appointment.

Wake up, have some coffee. Delicious instant that we got while we were in England. It's very useful for making iced coffee. :)

Check the weather before heading out. It ended up hitting 112 around 4pm. :/

She generously allows us to use her costco membership to buy ALL THE MEATS.

The mountains on our way home. It's hazy and cloudy and generally icky, the whole desert just holding it's breath for monsoon.

Our haul. Hopefully it'll last at least two weeks.

Kona is delighted with her new digs.

Get ready to go out again before we can settle down too much.

Time check.

Our box closes at noon, so we take advantage of our free gym membership to make up Thursday's workout. It's an all right gym - at least they have A/C.

Single-leg deadlifts. Ugh.

Drink ALL the BCAA's.

Come on - monsoon already!

Pick up some pizzas on the way home because this day has been ugh. Surprisingly, Udi's makes some excellent gf pizza.

Put together tomorrow morning's coffee. Bonus: time check!

Pear cider. Another relict of our vacation: now I want ALL the cider.

I continue working on my Hadrian's Wall posts, this one being day two of our hike.

Then I read about farming. Because. Farming.

Lady writes a post and I read some more.

Then: night!
