At 5:30am, the sun is already leaking through our curtain, so it's time to get up and make some coffee.

Check the weather and deem it open-window worthy. Going to stretch out our a/c-less mornings for as long as we possibly can.

Not pictured: Lady waking. I steal the bed sheets before she can try and go back to bed. :D

Get dressed.

Distribute coffee.

Find Lady has managed to cocoon herself in the duvet anyway.

Cats also enjoy this weather.

Check the board. Yes, yes they are.

Aaah, clouds! Gorgeous, gorgeous weather. Perfect for a walk.

This is our apartment management's way of fixing the back gate. :/

Our rock temple in the community rock garden hasn't been toppled yet.

We talk about omnivorism, so naturally Lady shows off her incisors.

Time-check when we get back. Waaay past cat-feeding time.

People feeding time.

I've been eating entirely too many apple omelets lately.

Devour & shower.

Get dressed (again).

I have an hour until hair cutting happens, so I call the mother.

I'm also a terrible phone conversationist, so while we talk, I get ready. Knee-highs are very important for today.

Also finish editing photos from an engagement shoot for a friend.

Lady, meanwhile, tries to finish rewriting her comp exam while fending off cats. Very harrowing.

Wrap up my call with mum and head out. One last shot of the super-long hair and semi-mullet.

Hair place is at the mall.

Time-check when I'm done. Whew - that was the longest shearing I've had in a while.

Next stop.

They aren't kidding around here. I almost expected to see crates with babies for sale in the back. I was in and out quick, thankfully, because the staff were super helpful and could see the panic and confusion in my eyes.

The handy list with all of the aisles and names was helpful, too.

Order procured.

Swing by home to pick up Lady.

Stop by the lab so she can do her science real quick.

I change in the bathroom and omg my hair is so short.

Then we go to the box, where I deadlift and Lady benches.

Those knee socks keep the bar from ripping open my shins when I drag the bar up them. :) Also, they look cool.

Time check.

I've found that downing some BCAA's post workout decreases my subsequent soreness, so - drink up!

Also eat up. These are amazing, btw.

Starting to flag a little from the go-go-go morning, and we have a baby shower yet to attend, so I make us some espresso.

I wrap gifts and Kona is super helpful.

Get dressed (for the third time).

Lady is also fanc'.

Then we head out into the high desert.

Hey! Look at that - our fellow DITL'er,

The shower-ee of honor, certainly not stealing a baby.

Several people try to steal that baby.

Games are played.

Presents opened.

Soon-to-be-fathers are suitably unimpressed and fun times are had by all.

Then, after eating all of the gluten free cookies, we depart so that Lady can continue toiling on her comp exam.

Or, apparently equally as important, putting flour away.

Time check.

In defiance of my flagging steam, I peruse recipes for our Sunday cook-fest.

Make a list.

Make the bed.

Work work work.

I read to gather my strength for grocery shopping.

Ok, let's do this!

CLOUDS. I cannot get enough of these fluffy little sky monsters.

First stop.

The fruits of our first stop.

Second stop.

Put away groceries.

I put together a plate of stinky cheese and crackers and Lady leaves the room. I'm sure these two events are unrelated.

Write for a little bit.

Shave my callouses.
Not pictured:

Read for a little bit. Which turns into a lottle bit, because we both end up finishing our books.

Lights out! G'night.
