As the caffeine works its way through my system, I set to writing a cactopodes post.



Done! And just in time to wake up Lady for our run.






Get dressed. Hard to run in a night gown. :P

We say hi to the cows before turning around.










Went a little over the planned running time, but it was just such a nice morning! We're working up each week to running longer, since we have a 7 mile race in April, and neither of us has done more than 4 at one time.

As a reward for actually getting up and running, we make paleo pancakes. Banana + eggs + almond butter (and a dash of almond flour) = YUM.










Throw some laundry in, real quick like.



Play with cat, real quick like.



Get dressed!




Assemble the items we're going to be exchanging/donating. We did a bit of cleaning on Saturday, which resulted in two of those bags. The rest has been waiting for a donation run for... a while.






But first -! Coffee.



I work on my query and synopsis while Lady works on her comp exam.



Lora shows up! We chat. I try to get her to drink some coffee about twelve times, but she is highly distractable. And in dire need of coffee.



Time check. We have to get going, because we have a lot of errands to run.




Quick stop by the lab so Lady can pick up notes.



Then we exchange some of the clothes and try to find new things. No dice.



Pick up shark cat food.



Try another second-hand store. They take more of our clothes, but we still don't find anything. Not pictured: dropping off the rest of the donations.



Home again + welcoming cat.



Food goes in pantry...



Before I let myself rest, I take the car out to be washed. Dirty car.



Clean car. Still streaky, but it just dries so fast here.



Update my to-do list and work a little more on some edits.




Kona has the right idea. Nap time!




Fold some laundry after nap.




Time to make cupcakes! I was in class all last week and one of my coworkers had a birthday, so I wanted to surprise her with chocolate cupcakes on Monday. Unfortunately, she took Monday off. :P



Assemble ingredients!




Get distracted!!









Whew, back on track.



Chop some sweet potatoes while the cupcakes bake.






Much better stability and form than the last batch I made. We'll have to see how they taste...

Ah, good, something's done! Sweet potato enchiladas. An interesting culinary experiment.



An iced cupcake.




They appear to be met with approval.




Lora stops by to pick up a chicken carcass and is rewarded with a cupcake.



After some chatting and cupcake indulging and more chatting, Lora departs with her carcass and I brush my teeth.
