I tried to sleep in, I really did. But I woke up with a throbbing headache that refused to abate no matter how much I tried to ignore it.

I resort to drugs. And whey protein. Yum.

Then, on my way to shower, I discover I left the bathroom door open. This is what happens within seconds of such a lapse in security.

Hair thingy saved from a cruel fate, it is time to shower.

A Lady Monster appears! She is just starting to get what I had, so she's even less inclined to be awake.

Very displeased with the world.

It's

Rub some coconut oil into my freshly shorn legs.

Then internet for a while.

Decide to go for a walk to see the cows. Also, it's nice out. And we need something to do since neither of us is up for the day hike we'd originally planned for today. Oh, cursed illnesses!

Been wanting to get a photo of this for a while - it just sprang up one day near the bridge. I have no idea why. Does there need to be a why?

I've never actually seen ice on the bridge, but it's that time of year - it was 20degrees in the morning last week!

Dry... empty... brown...

The cows we came to see. Disappointingly, they are on the far side of the field.

Even the ponies are shunning are disease-ridden hides today. Come over here, ponies! I'm pretty sure this isn't equine transmissible! ...probably!

We're too tired and worn out to go all the way to the other bridge, so we take a short cut across the wash. Yes. Tired and worn out from walking.

Hasn't rained for a while...

Get back and immediately start with the cooking because even though we're tired and our butts are sick, it's still Sunday. Beans it is!

Set out the mayo ingredients so they can come to room temp. Very important.

Not pictured: grocery shopping. Pictured: our haul for the week. Half-pictured: Kona trying to eat beet greens. We usually need more than this, but neither of us has been eating much the past week due to sickness.

Almost done with one jar of sauerkraut! Still have one to go. Whew, that stuff is potent.

I have sauerkraut with a burger for a late breakfast/lunch.

Lady has the right idea.

But I'm too twitchy, so I keep working. Wash all the greens!

I decide we have a lot of greens, so some of that kale can become chips.

Delicious.

The egg and lemon juice is room temp, so I add some olive oil and use the immersion blender and -

Magic! Instant mayo.

Darjeeling has the right idea.

And so do I.

When I wake up, Lady is chopping vegetables.

The best. Chicken soup. Ever.

Time check because, wtf, where did the day go? (Oh yeah, sleeping and... sleeping).
We're both stir-crazy from staying home quarantined these past few days, so we head out on an adventure.

Somebody's been drawing faces in the dust on our car. I wonder who...

Find a small park on the other side of town.

I proceed to take a lot of photos of cacti for a tumblr I started a few weeks ago on a lark.

There's been a lot of broken pipes and water damage since the freeze.

We come home and it's time for chicken soup.

Then I make a super dense chocolate mug cake because why not. It's not very tasty. :(

Offload some photos, but only to get at those cacti.

Take a break to try out one of the sleeping bags Lady's mom shipped to us. Verdict: comfy. I tell Lady we need to open up all the windows and sleep in them in the living room to really try them out. She laughs at me.

I update my tumblr and blog while watching John & Hank Green's Carnegie Hall show. Spoiler alert: Neil Gaiman shows up.

Feed the

Take more painkillers because, what, this is the most headaches I've had since in years.

Then I read for a bit in bed with Lady like old ladies. She wants me to make sure I get a photo of what she's reading. I think she wants this to be obligatory reading for every extrovert. :)

Good night.
