Oh yes. We know this time of day. We know it well.

My short hair is getting long and unruly. A hair cut is in my immediate future.

I cleanse myself and use the baking soda/vinegar hair routine for the first time in months because just rinsing it every other day (vs shampooing every day) isn't cutting it.

Cats sneak in while I'm toweling off. So a cat portrait is necessitated.

Coffee.

Coffee in hand, I close out my WIP for the first time in days. My goal was to finish to before November (and NaNoWriMo), but alas, I came up about 10k short. Still. Putting it away for now.

Change the calendar... goodbye October!

Hullo November!

Put on a mood imp. This one smells very clean, with just a hint of chemicals.

Open up a new word file for NaNoWriMo. I haven't done the celebratory stay-up-until-Midnight thing in years now.

Lady monster looms! I wouldn't say she's quite awake yet.

I get a decent start, then write an LJ entry to wrap up my October project.

Cat foodin' time!

And us foodin'. Or rather, putting together today's lunch tupperwares.

Bacon and brussel sprouts. Yes.

I get snazzed up for the day.

Switch out my bus pass.

Lady gets her bike ready.

On our way.

The sun is now coming up very close to 7am and it's chilly enough for a light jacket. I love this time of year here.

The first (of many) elevator shots. And the start of my super exciting day.

Cross off the last day in October.

Then replace October with November and add December to the line-up. The end of the year is approaching so fast!

My morning work pile. Not very scary.

Second cup of tea.

It's after 10, so: breakfast! What is it? What else?? Brussel sprouts & bacon!

Break time, so I head down to the basement.

... and write. Sense a theme yet?

Not a cloud in sight - but there is a crane.

Lunch time and I head to my usual spot.

...and write.

Get back from lunch and actually eat lunch. Some kind of chicken & spaghetti squash & cauliflower & pumpkin thing.

On the afternoon run, which means a wander through the basement over in the old courthouse. It's no less creepy than the last time a DITL came through here.

And I have yet to get up the courage to peer through that door.

Up and out and freedom!

Another elevator.

This time to visit HR and collect my clothing allotment. Somehow we don't have money for raises or anything else, but we have money to dole out shirts & pants. I have no idea.

It's almost 4, which means I get to put my desk up to standing height. Hoorah! (Long story).

Time to go! I get to leave a few minutes early now so as to avoid walking home in the dark.

They're really building that building.

The sun has just gone done when I get off the bus.

But it's not fully dark, which is nice.

Our sad pumpkin greets me.

And Lady.

I'm terribly grumpy, so I lie on the floor for a few minutes and mess with the cats.

Then I model one of the county-issued shirts.

Cider time!

And Daily Show time!

I finish reading Isle of Blood, which is the third (and last, for now) in the Monstrumologist series, which is somehow YA, and I have no idea how.

Kona helps Lady fill out her ballot.

Darjeeling is just all open to portraiture today.

I write.

Then I get in bed and write some more.

Update my word count on the official site.

And go to bed.
