Good morning, Mr. Coffee!

Checking the weather - no sign of clouds and the sun isn't quite up yet.

Just a quick hop onto the computer to check email while the coffee finishes brewing.

Catch a cat trying to sneak into my office...

Coffee's done! Time to wake up the Lady -

- after I get past the guard cat -

Put on some shoes. We both decide it's probably better to go for a quiet walk this morning instead of trying to run. We've been over-training a bit lately and we're very sore.

Just one more hurdle until we're out the door -

Coffee is slowly turning her into a human being.

Cheers, sun!

FOOD.

FOOOD.

Take a shower while Lady finishes up the FOOOOD.

Might as well get dressed, too.

Feeling snazzy.

FOOOOOOD.

Okay, and I'll feed the cats, too.

All the things I need to survive the work day: food, food, coffee, food, book, netbook, ipod (full up with audiobook), snack bag, phone, wallet, sunglasses and grapefruit.

I steal the last few minutes of the morning to write for a bit.

Lady and her bike, out the door.

She walks me to the bus stop.

Watching (im)patiently for my bus to round the corner.

At work, all the way to the ninth floor!

Sweet potato and more coffee, plus my empty list for the day.

Dual-screenin' it up.

Lunch time! I eat steak and summer squash at my desk. And a new list.

Actual lunch time - which I spend entirely outside, despite it being well over 95 these days.

I find my corner and write furiously.

I walk around a bit until I can access the City's free wifi. Then I check my email before heading back.

An afternoon earl gray to get me through the rest of the day.

The long, hot, walk home from the bus stop.

But it's so, so worth it.

A quick coconut and honey snack and a little more writing when I get home.

Doug shows up on our doorstep with cookies and wine and an invitation to go see the bats. Can't turn that down!

Heading down into the Rillito as the sun sets.

Aforementioned wine.

...and the lack of aforementioned wine.

The bats erupt from under the bridge shortly after sunset.

We head back for cookies and more wine.

Obligatory watching of silly youtube videos.

Bed time!

Oh no! Stayed up way too late. I know I'm going to feel it when I wake up. But it was a good day and well worth its excesses.
