spryng | Oh my gosh, you'll never guess what I got you for Christmas

Don't mind the plaintive meows coming from the box.

Wow, so, two weeks unemployed so far, one of which was spent recovering from erroneously dubbed "24-hour" cold. Yeah, it came back with a vengeance a day or two later and left me sniveling and snotty for too many days.

So I wasn't running and my crossfit workouts were shitty and we were eating out all the time and I wondered why I was starting to get depressed. Hah. I still haven't really run much, but eating proper food at home and not being sick and knowing I get to see my niece-not-quite-in-law in just a few days has helped.

Also, I can finally do a chin-up on the bars at our gym, which has made me substantially happier. :D Next up: pullup! My goal is to be able to do a strict pull-up by March, so I can show off to my dad when I see family again, and it's starting to look like I'll meet that goal. Hoorah.

Other things: lots of last minute Christmas things, because I got all grumpy about the early Christmas stuff in November and therefore, of course, put it off as long as I could; CATS; I finished draft zero of the Zombie Assassin story, which needs a real title (the working title is the name of the MC; so very original, I know); printed out that draft zero and am slowly going through it for consistency, hoping to have that done by January so I can throw myself into the rewrite/revision process; BABY; kind of slowed down a bunch on the Skyrim playing because it just doesn't have the level of creativity Oblivion had with its quests (needs more Sheogorath); got an itsy-bitsy netbook who has been christened Amalsuentha; CATS; really need to get back to running daily now that my adductors or whatever the hell they are have stopped hurting like the dickens; not going to come out of this holiday cookie season unscathed, weight-wise, which is fine by me.

I haven't done an introspection post for the end of 2011 because I kind of already did that back in August. But I do want to do an update on my goals, especially since omg these last few months have been kind of phenomenal in the life productivity department. If you ignore the part where I really need to work on wedding stuff and haven't.

...ah, maybe I should do that today. Totally have my eye on this dress and thinking hard about getting it now, since I'll have to get whatever fitted anyway about a month out. Thinking trading out that ribbon for something red and maybe some rust-red tulle underneath...mmm.
