Lovely. My first day unemployed and my throat has decided to become evil incarnate. I woke up at 5am and was like, hell no, not going to crossfit. So I went back to sleep, got up long enough to see Lady off at 7, play some Skyrim for a few hours, then passed out again until now. Things are achy and weird, but I can finally swallow again so I should probably have some water because I wasn't really drinking anything all morning.

So yesterday was my last day, the inauguration, and the end of all the awkward. It was rather nice not having to talk to either A or L and just waltz in, grab my paperwork, waltz across the hall, give cupcakes to the Manager's office, and go. I was tired of A's shit and his constant lack of interest in anyone else since the election, so it was nice to just leave him and their one-person staff behind. I'm sure the new office will get its shit together soon enough - it's inevitable, of course - but it was also fun to read that the "there was no one in the office" when the reporters tried to call on Monday. :)

I have a lot before me, I suppose. Need to find a job. I've been kind of flailing about on that one, but I'll start on a concerted effort soon. Although, probably tomorrow, because I feel like absolute shit today. That's fair, right?

Need to finish with holiday things. Maybe now that I have all this time on my hands I can do the DIY things I had been planning to make for people. I also have a lot of things around the house that need to be finished/fixed up. Oh, and there's Skyrim. And reading. Omg, books.

It still doesn't feel like I'm unemployed. It just feels like a vacation. Although I expect the money panic to set in any day now. :/
