Feb. 11th, 2011 09:51 amOoh, ooh, I just found out I have next friday off due to furlough. This is fantastic. I am delighted - can you see my delight? Oozing delight.
The photo above, from last weekend, represents my dire need to be near a body of water. I desperately want some ocean, some susurration of the soul. I've been eyeing San Diego more and more, but unfortunately the perfect opportunity of next weekend and its four-day-ness is not so much perfect since my parents'll be in town. Which is good for them, and for visiting, but not good for me and my need for large bodies of water. Gah.
I'm thinking of making these flaming strawberry cupcakes for Bull Moose Day, although the logistics of setting them on fire at the office are... um... not easy. Maybe I'll just not set them on fire.
Any other suggestions for delicious things I can make and bring in to my office mates? My mind is very set on cupcakes, for some reason, but a non-desert type meal would be appreciated by all here, I bet.
Day 21 - One of your favorite shows
I only have one show I watch religiously right now, which I look forward to and fangirl about, and that would be Doctor Who. In fact, aside from my randomly watching the Daily Show, it's the only thing I watch. I loves it, precious, yes I do, every bit of silliness and goof and camp. Because it embraces that goof wholeheartedly, runs with it, plays with it, and then turns around and still manages to surprise. It's dark, too - the Doctor is barking mad, after all, and wholly responsible for countless atrocities. And it's over the top, way way over the top, with doom scenarios every few episodes and running and candy-colored daleks, and complete scientific jibberish, and parallel universes, and hands, and flying sharks, and fezes (fezes are cool!), and and -
It's an absolute delight and I loves it.
