spryngThe fog was intense this morning. Thick and syrupy. I thought my walks to the bus stop had reached their darkest, but with the fog was added creepy. Beautiful, delicious, but creepy. Couldn't hardly see, and when I reached street lights again, they only cast triangles of yellow in the fog, illuminating nothing. It wasn't as thick by the actual bus stop, but it was still beautiful.
I still can't wait until daylight savings. It'll be nice to walk to the bus with at least a little bit of light. At least I have good night vision...?
Lady's birthday was yesterday. I got her a blue scarf and rose tea and a cake from Coldstone with "ding!" on it. I left work early to pick it up as well as spend some extra time with her. We went to a mexican restaurant, despite her being fooded out (she'd gone to PF Chang's with a friend earlier in the day, and then gone on a cookie hunt), and then had delicious wine from a local winery and cake and watched Dr. Who. This weekend I've promised to take her to a brewery as a proper birthday celebratory event. Also, she has a WA driver's license now. Is like birthday present?
There are friggin' Left 4 Dead billboards along my bus route. It wigged me out the first time I saw that green background with the hand - "why does that look familiar...? ... oooh... OOH." Now I get a spark of glee in my eyes every time I spy one. I keep forgetting Valve is located in Bellevue, which is right next door to Seattle. I want to hunt them down and plead to clean their toilets. zomg. And possibly steal episode 3.
NaNo starts next week. I need to re-psych myself. Ever since I finished GOU I've kinda let my writing schedule slide. That and I was busy trying to get things together for Lady's birthday.
Mmm... cake.
