July, July
Jul. 3rd, 2016 06:50 am30 days left in Arizona.
We sent a list of 19 houses to our realtor in MI. I like three of them a lot, five of them are great but would need some work, and the rest are hedges. It's also just hard to tell with some of the photos available, so I gave a few the benefit of the doubt just because the photography was awful. Seriously, how hard is it to go inside a place and take a few pics? Between white balance issues, focus, and just simple wtf (why a pic of the windowsill and not of the, say, room??) it really makes me wonder. And feel bad for some of these people trying to sell their house.
I even dreamed of houses last night. I'm really excited about having something we can control, having a yard, even a basement. I'm still worried about turning around and selling it in two years. We'll just have to see where the market is then.
Lady Jr has been getting hiccups. It's a little weird, but also a little cute. It's like a subtle kick that just keeps going for 20, 30 min straight. I thought it'd get annoying, but honestly I just like the reminder that she's there. Some days are quieter for her than others and I try not to worry when those happen, but you know.
We have 2.5 weekends left to Get Shit Done before the Move. We actually have a lot of things packed and have been organizing and getting rid of shit pretty effectively. I feel a lot better about the whole thing and as long as we do one or two more sortings of stuff, we'll be ready for that last Shove Everything Into a Box and then Into Another Box day. There's just still a lot of stuff. Six years in one place and you tend to accumulate.
July, July = 1 week of house hunting, 2.5 weeks of work, 2.5 weekends to pack, 0.5 weeks of wedding, and 1 weekend and 1 day to Put Everything Into a POD, Clean, and Get the Fuck Out of Arizona.
Right now, I honestly can't wait for it to be August.
