Jury Duty

I've been called in for jury duty twice now since living in AZ. Apparently that's pretty normal. I think they just like calling as many people as possible, since so many end up ineligible for various reasons.

Of course I got selected, because I am way too boring and don't have any problems with believing a guy might be innocent even when he's been brought all the way to trial. Seriously, the number of people who were like "nope, guilty until proven innocent" was disturbing. I sincerely hope they never find themselves on the other side of the law.

It's a projected six-day trial, so I'll be there through next Friday. That's about all I can say until it's over, but I'm strangely excited about having nice long mornings. Jurors don't have to be at the court until after 10am. So I'm planning on hiking as many mornings as I can. :)

Downside is we don't get out until (probably after) 5pm - last night was 5:30, omg - so my evenings are pretty much shot. Tja. I'd been talking to Lady about how I wondered if shifting my day over a few hours would make me more productive and be a better fit for me - since my best time is the morning and I hate being at work then - so it'll be a good experiment.
