Jan. 7th, 2014 03:08 pmWoke up this morning feeling worn out and weak, despite getting a solid 8 hours. I got up anyway, realized my throat was scratchy and sore, but decided that I couldn't miss a weightlifting session. I made it through the warm-ups, but then it was just nope, not going to happen. So I did some token weights, told Lady I was still going to go to work, came home, and promptly burritoed myself in bed.
Work didn't happen.
I slept most of the morning and feel a little bit better - more fatigued than exhausted. Hopefully more sleep tonight will get me the rest of the way towards better. I can't really afford to be taking sick time. I need to stockpile it for the future. But I also would have just sat with my head down at my desk, miserable, all day. So. This is better.
I think Kona has the right idea, though. She's all curled up in the sun. Napping. Mmm. Nap.
Edited to add: I might have chopped off the top off my thumb on a mandolin slicing sweet potato chips. I'm a champ.
