Oct. 3rd, 2008 10:23 amHaving an hour of transit time between here and work and it being so early in the morning means I have to decide whether or not I'm truly feeling like crap or it'll pass with little actual data. Hence going to work on Monday and then having to go home halfway through the day but not going on Tuesday and feeling fine (went to the doctor at least, so I can justify that). This morning I based it on the dry heaving, but now that's subsided and I feel fine again. Argh. I just want this whole sick thing to stop so I can just go to and not sound like a dying carp. At least I've noticed a pattern in these sicknesses that are the exceptions which prove the truth that I really hardly ever get sick. Because the last time I got sick was in Russia, and the time before that was in coming to New College, and the time before that was in Germany. It seems every time I go and live someplace new, I contract the local disease. Hopefully this is a good theory and I won't get sick again this winter, since everyone keeps warning me about the breeding grounds which are the office.
Either that or I haven't been eating enough garlic.
So tonight Neil Gaiman is going to be in Seattle and I tried to get tickets, but have heard nothing back, except one email directing me to ask someone else. Well, at least he's been putting up videos of his tour on his blog. So excuse me while I go watch the previous three.
