Thoughts on a Lunch Break, VI

spryng- This illness just keeps on lingering. I feel like I was actually sick for one day, and then just coughing and fatigued for the last six.
- Part of the current fatigue, I assume, is due to not eating very much the last few days. It's very strange to go from an appetite of eat-all-the-things to having to remind myself to stuff something in my craw before I get nauseous and dizzy. I think this also explains why crossfit feels like I'm bonking as soon as I start. No food = no energy.
- One upside to all this sick & downtime is that my progress has gone from abysmal to quite decent in my final draft edits. I may actually finish this run-through by February, my original and very ambitious deadline. In which case, I will need betas. Now who wants to beta for a somewhat dark fantasy involving zombie assassins, gods, torture, and political intrigue?
- In Search of the Elusive Cactopodes has made it into its third week. I'm striving to get it through a fourth before I see if I want to keep going with this, but so far it's fun.
- Cats! Cats. Cats cats cats.
- Winter Open is at our gym this coming weekend. I volunteered to help in the morning, but it looks like I'll be there all day. You should drop by. Say hi. See the competitors. If it's anything like last year's, it'll be crazy and awesome.
- Desert weather. It was 40 this morning. Now it's 80. How the heck am I supposed to dress for this?
