Rise and shine!

Not so much shining just yet.

A shower might help.

The only problem with taking a morning shower in these autumn months is that getting out = chilly! Solution? Warm clothes in the dryer.

I finish drying off and doing all those bathroomy things while Darjeeling supervises.

Lady is... "awake."

Time check! Warming up the coffee mugs with hot water.

...then coffee...

Coffee is transported into my office.

And I drink it while reading the newspaper and catching up on the internet. Can it really be called a newspaper when it's digital, though? Hmm.

Then it's time to get dressed for walkies!

Lady is still not quite ready.

Feed the

Lady is not so sure about this.

Little more sure.

Lady spots something adorable.

Surprisingly enough, it's not this super cute hummingbird.

We visit the peacocks and goats at the nursery (which is not open this early in the morning).

Lady's goat impression.

Heading back home again.

Time check!

List check! Groceries and to-do.

Make some eggs and bacon and tomatoes for breakfast - never a good idea to go grocery shopping hungry.

Nom nom nom.

Darj' tries to steal our grocery bags for her nap. We have none of that.

Out the door.

First stop.

Second stop.

Home and putting away the groceries.

Kona tries for the nth time to live in the fridge.

Time check - and we're on our way again.

This time to the mall for a hair cut.

Then to the lab so Lady can do some Science.

SCIENCE.

MOAR SCIENCE.

We change in the bathroom to our weightlifting clothes.
Not pictured (because I was stupid and left the camera in the car): weightlifting. I did squats and presses, Lady did step-ups and presses.

Lady showing off her muscles.

Home again and: time check.

Kona shredded my hand a week ago and one of the cuts refuses to close. Lifting only made it worse, so we clean it and wrap it up tight.

Have some leftover chili for lunch.

Then get in bed, read for a while (Starting Strength), and nap.

Wake up and have some chicken broth, zinc and fish oil for second lunch.

Lady cleans the kitchen.

Lady cleans the turkey.

Turkey ready for the oven.

I take a break and tune my uke, then try for the 100th time to learn how to play a song.

Take down some of the halloween decorations and try to put up lights instead, only to find out that all but one of the strands no longer lights up. :(

Kona tries to be helpful by sitting on top of the box.

Check the to-do list... not a very productive day.

Sooo we have some spiked cider.

And I make cranberry sauce from this recipe (our cooking for this week is largely Thanksgiving foods because we figured it would be more fun to have Thanksgiving all week long than just Thursday).

Lady works on transcribing old family recipe cards.

Finish cranberry sauce.

Turkey is done!

Time to feed the cats.

And time for me to go to bed.
