Thoughts on a Lunch Break, IV

spryng- Holy shit I am sitting outside and not sweating. In fact, there is a cool breeze. Can I just go ahead and call it now? FUCK YEAH AUTUMN
- The new Amanda Palmer CD? It dropped Tuesday. And yeah, it's as awesome as the two early songs made it out to be.
- I just got a notice that my reservation for the first book in Robert Jordan's crazy-long series is available. It's an audiobook. Most of the audiobooks I listen to are 12-16 hours long. This one is 72. I don't even.
- Yesterday, I randomly got super excited for the contra dance portion of our reception. I can't wait to twirl around like a crazy person on the floor for hours!
- I also got an intro to ukulele book from B&N yesterday. I've got some chords down, but I've yet to learn any songs. Yet another thing I am super excited to focus on after the wedding.
- I called USAA to change my name and had a lovely and long conversation with one of their reps about marriage and rights and how crazy Texas is. You know, that's one of the best things about getting gay married - it seems the random strangers I've talked to are a whole lot more excited about it than if it were a hetero marriage. I haven't actually gotten any shit for it yet - aside from a strange card from my crazy aunt - but then, that might partially be because I've been rather mum about it, mostly. I suppose the real test will come when I'm referring to my wife. ;)
- Our crossfit box is putting on an in-house competition this weekend and I am both excited and terrified. It's supposed to be do-able by anyone and scaleable to any level, but it's an all day thing and all that jazz.
- Either the weekend after we get back from MN or the first one in October we need to (will) have a fancy dinner. It has been too long.
- Damn, it's nice out.
