I stumble out of bed and check my phone for wayward texts first thing - then decide to change things up by time-checking with said phone.

I got my hairs cut last weekend - suddenly my bedhead is a lot more intense. I tame it.

Boil some water.

Make some coffee.

Dig around for some clothes.

Ah, "refresh" my stinky workout pants.

Fill up the water bottle and then the magical water container-thingy-majig.

Lady, meanwhile, is up and dressed.

This is my apprehensive face. We're both a little nervous about today's workout, which is one we've been working towards all month.

Clearest morning sky we've had in weeks.

Get some gas on the way.

Said workout of doom.

The sun comes up while we're still finishing it.

The two on the floor are in the middle of their last 25 burpees. If you've never done a burpee before, well, they're brutal.

Have to leave almost as soon as we finish the workout - there was a 40min cut-off and most of us either hit it or came very close.

This is how I feel about it.

Time check - we're a little late getting home.

Getting the food ready for the day - and hurrying.

Ready the coffees and put two heart-shaped ices into Lady's.

She helps me get my fanc' on.

I'm late for the bus so Lady drives me to work. Oh downtown, you are so small.

Get to work almost a full half-hour early.

So I read.

I also cross off the prior day on the calendar and get excited about how close I am to CAKE.

A while later, have breakfast, which consists of a veggie-filled and chorizo-topped casserole.

On my break I go outside and spend nearly 10 minutes just trying to connect to the internet. :/

Back inside: tea time and I write up a list of what is needed to make tiramisu.

Lunch time finds me in a foreign elevator...

...to acquire this!

Then I settle in close to the convention center and successfully get online. I send Lady an email asking for some of the above ingredients on her Target run and also write an LJ post about how hot it is.

Skies have been much clearer lately.

On my way back from lunch, I decide I really need to let my mom know I'm changing my name. Since that's happening Friday.

Lunch! Kale & ground beef + fried okra + smashed sweet potato.

On my next break I've finished my current audiobook so I load up the ipod with music.

Checking the weather about an hour before go-time. The less clouds = the hotter it is.

On my way down the street - walking to the CSA to pick up veggies. The original plan was to take the bus home from there, but a friend offered a ride.

Peer into the CSA happenings while I wait for said friend.

Veggies! There's been a lot of okra lately and I am absolutely not complaining.

Rustling through our bounty.

I shuck my corn because they're covered in beetles, then have some rum because... ah... it kills beetles?

Latch on my ipod and get to work:

Two packages came today! One contained cupcake liners for the wedding and the other clip-on flowers.

Lady, freshly awake, models a flower.

Then I start the first of many parts of the tiramisu.

I whisk this thing, willing it to thicken.

I started around 7:30. It's supposed to only take 8 minutes. Uh...

It finally thickens and I double-check the recipe for the next part. It's something similar that's supposed to thicken in 12 minutes. I decide to leave it for tomorrow.

Feed the cats.

Lady's already reading.

I join her for a chapter or so (THIS BOOK. OMG .)

And then we both pass out well before 9pm.
