Thoughts from a Lunch Break II

spryng- As soon as it dries up here, it gets ridiculously hot.
- Filthy Fifty happened today. That would be this terrible workout that we've been working towards all month. I'll have more details tomorrow (and photos! since today is a DITL day), but suffice to say: ow; closest I've come to puking; ow; I actually finished it.
- My bday is in two days. I am now on the other side of excited and into the realm of ennui. I'm more excited about the name change thing. And terrified.
- I still haven't told mom I'm changing my name. Well, supplementing my name. I should probably do that before Friday. But. Well.
- Did I mention it is ridiculously hot?
- I have come to a point in my revisions where I have just deleted three chapters and am left with the murky waters and dark forest of getting from point A to point B - which is way the fuck over there, on the other side of that volcano. Suffice to say, it's been slow. And I desperately wish I could just plow through the rest of this revision so I can finally be done with these characters and let them rest, but aaaah, I can't see being done before January at my current pace. It. Is. Excruciating. But, one step at a time. One page at a time. I'll get there.
- Tea party!! Well, see, with tea and with cake, not the political one. Stupid political one, making me have to clarify that of all things.
- Yesterday a hummingbird came over and hovered right in front of my face for several full seconds.
- Friday is also a blue moon. Coincidence? I think not.
- IT IS FUCKING HOT.
