You just can't get enough kitty photos, can you? ;P

So I've been mentioning a little about my whole30 diet thing and weight loss here, but I haven't really been going in depth because I've been doing that over at my new(-ish) wordpress blog, under the name speckofawesome, which you might recognize as my twitter handle as well. I started that blog originally to branch out from LJ with anything particularly non-me specific. At first, it was going to be book reviews, but I got one written and something shiny distracted me.

Then I started this whole30 diet thing and for some reason I didn't want to write about it at length on here. I don't know why. I'm weird like that. So I thought, since it was both a personal thing and a way for people to see how the whole30 diet works and progresses, I'd catalogue it there. And when the diet is done in seven (yes seven!) days, I plan to write about other things that are both personal, but broadly applicable. I expect a lot of the finer details of wedding planning will go there, and the various projects I hope to pick up along the way.

LJ will remain my place to bitch and talk about dying my hair or how much my job sucks or how awful my writing is. And I'll probably cross-post some things, too, because the line in my head that differentiates between posts there and here isn't much more than a shade or two of gray. But LJ is way insular and I wanted to have something out there that people could stumble upon, the content of which I am fairly confident about and hopefully not embarassing. :)

Wow, that went from the "hey look at this other blog I have!" I wanted to write to more of a "I'm not leaving LJ, I promise!" Hmm. Well. Yes. xp

Anyway. So if you want to read more about the diet and how it's going in more specifics, or about crossfit, or about recipes and such, you should probably go over there. If not, here is safe, I promise. :)

On a somewhat related note, holy shit. I took some photos of myself back in July to later prove to myself that yes, I was in fact losing weight and building muscle. Then the last few days I've been feeling particularly, well, thin, so I grabbed my camera and the same clothes and did some comparison shots. And damn. Four weeks and my tummy is no longer sticking out over my pants line. I am no longer as skeptical about this diet; I have not seen this weight in over three years despite all sorts of effort. I am a happy chicky today.

You look GREAT in those pictures! You can really see the ab development. I need to do more strength training...
