Dr Lady has been steadily improving, but staying isolated in our room with the air filter on and a mask. For Toddler, She Is Not Here, which is really the only way to keep him safe (as he isn't boostered and if he sees her, he will stop letting me take care of him. Seriously, it's a whole Thing) but also Exhausting. For Cabin Girl, she emerges at nightfall and they have been giving each other air hugs, which is cute if a bit sad. I'm just continually impressed CG is old enough to get it without excessive cajoling or explaining.

But then, she is also boostered, like me, so I am less worried about her getting COVID.

Me, on the other hand... well, thankfully these kids work really well together when they're fed and rested, and Toddler just wants to do whatever CG is doing and CG is old enough to know sometimes that means Eating Dinner at the Table so I don't have to chase him all around. I have been super appreciative of them both, because this could be a lot harder if just one of them wanted to make it so.

I've been testing to ensure I don't spread the fun virus around and haven't had any legit symptoms, but my body is clearly fighting something off, because I am exhausted.

Thankfully, the grandmoms have united to help out today, so they took CG and Toddler to a children's museum so I could lie down a bit. And tomorrow, we're all going over to 2 Papas house (which is done being built! hooray!) and making cookies while it rains. Bless.

As long as Dr Lady keeps improving, I think she can start parenting again Monday night. Fingers crossed.
