Thoughts on a Lunch Break
Aug. 24th, 2012 12:47 pm- This August is still exceedingly gorgeous, weather-wise.
- There is someone out there in the world whose last name is "McPhail."
- Seeing myself in my wedding dress yesterday for alterations made me suddenly realize just how damn tan I am. Oh, Arizona.
- Crossfit on Monday was, ah, interesting. We did 30 cleans as part of the workout and most people finished around 8 - 12min. I finished at 16min, after doing 35 burpees as penalty for dropping the bar. Part of this was because I was trying for a higher weight. But instead of recording my time, the coach wrote up something that looked like "awesinkness." So I was a little like ":(" most of the week and we didn't go to CF on Wednesday (tired, overwhelmed with wedding), and then we went in today and I re-read it and realized it said "awesomeness." And then I felt a little better.
- Going to bed at 6pm last night was the best decision this week.
- Circles are hard. Also, whoever thought I'd have to use geometry for my job? Just goes to show that the class you're worst at in HS will come back to haunt you someday.
- Kona is working on her yowls. She has now developed one that is both very low and very, very creepy.
- I broke the Whole30 for wine. Yes, I'm weak.
- A co-worker commented on how much I eat, which was somewhat funny considering it was 10am and the first thing I'd eaten all day that prompted said comment. I might have gone off on him just a little and therefore proven that I am still somewhat sensitive about food.
- The day I have been planning to file the paperwork to start the name change thing is fast approaching. I am extremely nervous.
- Saguaro 5k is also in a little over a week. It's at 6am. Fuck yeah.
