And you all know what that means: it's goal time! We also know how bad I am at sticking to my goals. Setting them? Easy peasy.
I'm trying smaller than usual, limiting myself to four main goals that are all pretty small and (hopefully) manageable.
1) Run three times a week. Specifically hill sprints on Tuesday, mile sprints on Thursday (that's running a mile and sprinting portions of it, not the whole thing), and then a longer run on Saturday/Sunday. I even signed up for a 5k on June 2nd - the Meet Me Downtown 5k - for added incentive to keep this schedule up and also see if it improves my time at all. Anybody else want to do this with me? It's pretty much the last 5k in Tucson until October.
2) Walk more. I've been getting kind of lazy, coming home and vegging out or not going anywhere on my work breaks. I'm going to take the pedometer with me to work today and see how far I'm going and how I can best get closer to 10k steps a day. Also, a little bit more focus on just slow and leisurely would be nice and hopefully helpful for destressing.
3) Three photos for the Tucson photobook. I think I've mentioned this idea before, that I would love to put together a photobook that of photos of Tucson that really capture this city and what I love about it. But I haven't actually gotten off my ass to do it, so aiming for three good photos I can use for said photobook this month should be both a)doable and b)the kick in the pants I need to get started.
4) Refocus on eating healthy. I've been letting it all slip in favor of a cookie or other goodie at work here and cookies and cake on the weekends and - and. So I'm going to put my foot down and limit that stuff to the weekend and try other ways of getting more healthy fruits and veggies into my life again. One step I've already taken is re-signing up for the CSA and stocking our cupboard with dates.
And, of course, continue writing every day. <3
