Sep. 17th, 2008 09:59 pmI gots hired. I can haz benefits?
Srsly. I thought about it a lot and finally decided that yes, knowing what I'm doing, where I'm going everyday, and with whom I'll be working does have it's benefits, even if it's not as exciting as going out and looking for another job. Which, truthfully, would probably turn out to be pretty much the same thing, just having to relearn all the little things again. So I'll just go with this and see what office life is like until (hopefully, pleasepleaseplease) I go back to school next fall.
And outside of work I write. Hoping maybe I can finish something at last. Right now, I have a schedule: finish Guardians by October, re-write (in English) a short story from first year's ISP for October, and then NaNo it up with another reworking of Becky's story, Dreamer. Come December, hopefully Guardians will have sat long enough to merit the beginnings of an edit/rewrite. Might actually happen, for once, since already I'm getting excited about applying all of my editing learnings from thesis times to it.
I'll try not to drone on too much about my writing in here, but srsly, outside of work and lady, that's it. I'm really not that exciting.
